Gaussia attenuata Llume Palm

     Llume Palm - Gaussia attenuata -Zones 9-11 - Rare - Coming from the monsoon forests areas of Puerto Rico and found in the cliffs they form a solitary trunk that is swollen at the base like a barrel and becomes very slender as it grows tall. The crownshafts are green spewing the plumose feather fronds out giving a wispy appearance to see for miles of clear skies. They can take some mild freezing and frost temperatures but are best suited as a container palm or outdoors in the tropics. They take our climate in Central Florida very well. These are a very easy palm to grow and we've had no trouble with these except for trying to find them available. Very Limited
