Borneo 'No' Fishtail Palm Tree - Looks like a giant Tree fern plant!

     Borneo Fishtail Palm (Caryota No - Caryota rumphiana var. borneensis) - Rare in cultivation and vulnerable in conservation status. The seeds from this palm have only been offered a few times to the general public and usually about every other 3-4 years. These palms are easy to grow once they germinate and are cold hardy to about 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Germination usually takes about 6 months from seed sprout to seedling status. They are from Borneo Southeast Asia and are just a massive, beautiful palm with huge triangular shaped, fern-like leaves. The graceful appearance will certainly leave all in awe that cast their eyes on it once it is a specimen. The conservation status of this palm is vulnerable so you would be doing nature a favor by keeping these beauties in population. They are fast growing and form a thick solitary trunk to cast their majestic fronds out up to 50 feet tall. These can be grown indoors and medium light to full sun situations and need rich moist fertile soil to do their best. The most graceful and rare of ALL Fishtail Palms! - Limited!
