Manzano Apple Banana - Cold Hardy & Wind Tolerant - Delicious! Another great flavored, sweet tasting, seedless banana that tastes like a cross between an apple and a very sweet banana due to its acidic flavor. They are not grown in large commercial quantities so the chances of buying these from your local grocers are slim to none. The fruit must be allowed to ripen fully before eaten and is worth the wait. the leaves display some red markings when the leaves are young. They are very cold hardy plants that can take mild freezes with protection and like all tropicals should be protected from the frost. The mature height of this musa edible banana is 12-14 feet tall.
