Unusual and Different Colocasia Elephant Ear Colocasia Tea / Coffee "Cups" - Also called Big Dipper - Here is a very unusual plant in the colocasia esculenta family. It is said to reach over 6 ft tall and leaves just like pictured about 1.5-2 feet long and proportionally as wide. The stems are deep burgundy color almost black and the leaves are dark dark purple similar to a black magic color. They curve up to even hold water pointing at a 45 degree angle. This plant loves the moist soil like the rest of its family and will soak up the sun if provided a good supply of water. Other than being very oddly leafed, this one will enjoy the same conditions as the rest of the esculenta varieties do and give much pleasure to those who get to enjoy their contrast and strange leaf shape.
