Alocasia Elephant Ear Plant - Quick Reference List

We love our tropical elephant ear plants and we want you to enjoy them as much as we do! There is such a wide variety of differences in color, shape, and sizes included in this aroid group. Some grow as large as a home, some stay very tiny and make excellent houseplants and many are somewhere in between, but all fit easily into any landscape or home decor arrangement. Some are purely tropical while others can stand lots of semi-cold weather. Some love wet feet while other prefer the drier soils. All love rich in organic soils. This page is meant to be a shortened list and descriptions of the Alocasia Plants we have to offer at Central Florida Farms. Click the photos to go to the corresponding page. Sometimes I write more info than meant, but it's here for your pleasure. All information provided is based on my personal experience when applicable. Enjoy!

Alocasia Advincula Alocasia advincula - Batwing, once named the Batman alocasia. This plant needs a little special care in the watering department & is sensitive to over watering. It is not difficult to grow, just keep it on the dry side, in the correct soil mix and it will do well. Cold hardy to at least 32ºF, will die down under temps of 45ºF, yet it will re-emerge when the weather gets warm again so don't throw the container away.
