Awesome Leaves, Mottled Stems, Grows 6ft Tall Alocasia Zebrina - Mottled Stem, Stiff Arrow Shaped Leaf, Still Rare - New for 2009! Rarely offered, these Unique LARGE sized dark green Alocasia plants have zebra striped mottled stems and unmistakably arrow shaped, pointed, triangular leaves. Cold hardy to zone 9 so bring them indoors for the winter in colder areas. Easy to grow and fast growing. Resembles the Alocasia reticulata in likeness, but much larger growing plants. This is another plant that will give you a very large, upright Elephant Ear Plant - Growing to heights of 6+ft. The plants should reach 4+ feet tall by August/September and are easily overwintered when protected from frost and freezes. This is the first time in 5 years that they have been available and we were fortunate enough to get them. Who knows when or if they will be available again. The narrow arrow shaped leaves are pointed arrow shaped that sit on strong, deep mottled petioles. Leaves are also mottled and new leaves point towards the sky. They are fast and easy to grow which also seem to be comforted by water and moisture instead of heading towards the fungal end as a few of more rare varieties of Alocasias tend.
