Alocasia Rubra

Black Stem Elephant ear plant

     Alocasia Rubra - Cold Hardy - Here is a wonderful large sized growing plant that reaches heights of about 6-7 feet. The leaves reach 2-3 ft long and proportionally as wide. The stems are deep red/purple almost black that run into the veins under side of the leaves. The leaves are similar to Macrorrhiza in shape and size and is a natural species of alocasia. they like bright indirect sunlight or very bright shade and moist, well drained soil. Being a very easy to care for and fast growing plant, this is sure to make an excellent specimen for your collection.

These Alocasia Rubra are standing almost 5ft Tall. If they were not grouped, they would be larger.
